True Fitness Exchange Tower ceased operations to the shock of its members on June 9. On their website, the closure is due to ‘the businesses no longer financially viable due to evolving market conditions.’
Chaos and threats of legal action ensued when a handwritten note was posted by the door saying, ‘True Fitness Today is Last day.’
A few members will be suing because they just paid to open a membership and some paid to extend up to five years. All members were denied a refund and will sue the company before the Lawyers Council of Thailand.
Personal Trainers were not paid their proper compensation for months. Some received only 30% of their salary and were denied commissions.
Last November 30, 2016, True Fitness CentralWorld branch unceremoniously closed. There was no advance notice and True Fitness was selling memberships at that branch (and to that branch) as late as August 2016, according to new members we spoke to. We can’t confirm when True Fitness stopped selling memberships at its CentralWorld branch. – See more at: http://bk.asia-city.com/city-living/news/true-fitness-centralworld-closure-leaves-members-stranded#sthash.cCRCykNu.dpuf
