On February 24 and 25, 2002 at the SM City Activity Center, North EDSA, Quezon City, held the National Class B, Junior and Master Powerlifting Championships. Another well-organized event of the Powerlifting Association of the Philippines.

It was well participated by different teams of powerlifters and individual participants around Metro Manila, Cavite and Cebu. The group participants with the likes of the UP Powerlifting Team, Zest, Clark Hatch, Jimbo’s Bodychamp of Cavite and Baseline Gym of Cebu. Individual participants with the likes of Renato Dio, Jaime Ang, Eddie Fresnedi also graced the event and made interesting results. Records was set and broken in the said 2 day event.
